Final Releases Neon Genesis Evangelion Wireless Earphones

Audio device company final has opened orders for its EVA2020 anime-inspired wireless earphones, inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion. Each product will cost 19,800 yen (US$142.20), with tax included.

The wireless earphone line consists of five designs inspired by the mechs used by the characters from the anime series. The first three models consist of Unit 1, Unit 2, and Mark.06 and were released back in July 2020. Two new models were added and made available for sale: Type-NERV, and Type-REI. The latter’s color and design draws inspiration from Rei Ayanami’s hair.

The voice guidance system for the Unit 1, Unit 2, and Mark.06 models are done by Miki Nagasawa as Evangelion first lieutenant Maya Ibuki. Meanwhile, the voice system for Type-NERV is voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi as Misato Katsuragi and Type-REI is voiced by Megumi Hayashibara as Rei Ayanami. The voice systems for the earphones come in Japanese and English audio, with users having the ability to freely toggle between them.

Each earphone has a maximum of 63 hours worth of playback and utilizes Bluetooth technology supported by many Android and iPhone devices. Additional accessories included with each earphone consist of a unique charging case, ear tips that come in five sizes, and a USB Type-C charging cable.
